Now that I have your attention

I'm starting this blog for several reasons.

1. To spread the pain and emptiness of unemployment as widely as possible.

2. To account for all the time I spend unemployed, thereby hopefully motivating myself to make good use of it.

3. To make everyone who is not unemployed insanely jealous. (Yeah, go ahead and get that important phone call. I'll just be over here eating brownies and watching Celebrity Poker Showdown.)
