Day 57: Confirming Unemployment

Just to spite myself, I decided to wear the same contact lenses until I got off my ass and made an appointment to get a new perscription. It totally worked. I have one new pair left, and that should last me until I see the eye doc in 2 weeks.

On the job front, I still haven't gotten a call back from last week's interviewers, and I'm taking that as a good sign. Today I'll harrass HR just to make sure that they've given the job to someone else, and also to pitch myself to them in another capacity.

I don't blame them for not offering me the job. I got the impression that one of the people I'd be working for would feel really uncomfortable handing faxes and copies, when she knows that I'm perfectly capable of doing her job. But, well, that's what it means to be over-qualified.

I'm still glad I went on the interview. It forced me to think about my current direction....or maybe I mean my instantaneous velocity....whoa.....
