Day Fifteen: Montag Numero Trois
I finished my Gilmore Girls script last night. Can I get a hell yeah?
No? Well, how about some polite applause?
Fine. Anyway, prior to finishing said script I woke up and did mostly nothing for a good few hours. I think I need to find a new show to Tivo obsessively, because I'm finally getting sick of Cheers. Maybe I'll fill in the gap with Futurama and Family Guy.
In the early afternoon I drove up to Sherman Oaks to see "Fahrenheit 9/11" with Randy. As a liberal wet dream, it didn't disappoint. But here's my question... now that Michael Moore is like a bazillionaire ten times over, can't he afford, like, a personal trainer or something? He just keeps getting bigger with every film. Come on, dude, at least take a few steps on a treadmill or you're never going to outlive Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter. I'm not saying Michael Moore is fat, but I heard he had to cancel his plans to do a TV show because he couldn't fit in the frame. (Ooh snaps!)
So, after the movie I went home and did some writing, then dashed over to Trader Joe's just before it closed. Then, in search of the DVD of "Before Sunrise," which I needed to see before seeing "Before Sunset" tonight, I walked up to the local Blockbuster (by "local" I mean "about a mile away," which is fine because it's a good walk), but alas, no dice -- it was checked out. So I walked back and called other Blockbusters in the area: the only one that had the movie was the one on Pico and Beverwil, but it closed at 10 (what the hell kind of Blockbuster closes at 10?) and it was 9:50. I sped over there, running red lights, cutting off ambulances, mowing down baby carriages, etc., but by the time I parked and got out it was 10:02. Oh, the humanity. I stopped by the one on Robertson on the way home, but they didn't have it. So now I'll have to see the sequel before seeing the original.
When I got home from the wild goose chase, I sat down and hammered out the last 5-6 pages of the Gilmore Girls script, then watched Dead Like Me until I fell asleep mid-episode. (Hey, Eti -- I'm 6 episodes in now... watched 3 more this morning... happy now???)
