Day Three: Day Two With a Vengeance
Much to my dismay, the toilet seat did not magically install itself last night. So I buckled down (what does that really mean, anyway?) and did it myself today. In the end it wasn't all that hard. Just some unscrewing and re-screwing. Now I have a brand new, solid wood toilet seat that doesn't have years' worth of germs trapped in it.
In addition to the big toilet seat achievement, I took a few more steps on the room-cleaning project. I managed to get my small 3-drawer dresser into the closet, which frees up some extra space in the room. I also went through all the rest of my clothes (those I didn't wash on Monday) and sorted them into (a) clean clothes that just need to be ironed, (b) clothes that need to be washed, and (c) clothes that I won't need for a while and can therefore be put away. catch-22 here is that I don't actually have enough storage room and hangers to keep all the useful clothes handy. So, tomorrow I'm planning a trip to Ikea (of course) to get a bigger dresser, some more hangers, and a bigger bookcase as well since I'm also short on book space.
