Day Ninety-Four

I celebrated my last weekday of unemployment by going to 3rd Street Promenade, walking around aimlessly, and getting a Pomegranate-Blueberry ice blended at Coffee Bean and a sour cream & onion pretzel at Wetzel's. What's the deal with Wetzel's, anyway? Do you think the guy tried his hand at a few other careers before accepting that his name had predestined him for a career in knotty bread? And does the same fate apply to people with last names like Banitor or Moctologist? But I digress. Also a note on the Pomegranate-Blueberry ice blended from Coffee Bean: it is among the best beverages ever created by man. I don't know what kind of controlled substances they're putting in it, but whatever they are, they're working.

Then, in the evening, I had dinner with friends and went to see Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. My review, in four words: It ain't all that.

Now comes the final weekend of freedom. Obviously I'm going to try to enjoy it to the fullest, but then again, I've already had 94 days to do whatever the hell I wanted. It's not like there's a whole bunch of things that I haven't had time for and now finally have the chance to do. Maybe I'll just go pick some Kryptonite locks with a pen.
