Day Forty-Six

I was hoping that the bodywork on the girl's car was going to be under $200? Wow, I must have been smoking some pretty good stuff. I got a message from her tonight that it was $665, plus $20 a day for the rental car she'll need for the 3 days it'll take to do the work. Which makes it $725 total. So, counting the whopping $60 for my car, that brings it just under $800 total.

Um...yay?

So there goes that first unemployment check. Hopefully I can put the second one to slightly better (or at least, more fun) use.

Anyway. Had dinner with the parents at Chaya Venice, which I'd never been to but thought would be a cool quintessential L.A. place to take them. Turns out their food is pretty awesome, and they make a hell of a hot fudge sundae.
