Day Nineteen: ...

For once, I didn't watch all that much TV. Not in the morning, anyway. I spent the first few hours of the day alternating trying to write and cleaning. The DVD storage areas (i.e., the wall shelves and the bookcase) were pretty cluttered so I straightened them up and got rid of most of the extraneous stuff on the bookcase.

Divaker was flying out to see his parents for the weekend, so he drove down here so I could take him to the airport. En route we went to the Cheesecake Factory in the Marina, and it took forever to get our food: at least twice as it usually does on a Sunday, which makes no sense. By the time we left we didn't have a whole lot of time to get to the airport, but luckily I stumbled upon the technique of just taking Lincoln all the way down until it runs right into LAX.

Once I got back, Randy called and invited me to come along to Ikea with Eti, Meital and him. It's well known that I can never pass up such a trip, so I struggled through Friday rush hour traffic up the 405 and Sepulveda to get to Randy and Eti's place; then Eti drove us to Ikea, picking up the little sis along the way. I bought a brand-new Skubb (a hanging shoe rack) but once I brought it back I realized it's not the right kind for hanging on the back of a door. So I'm trying to improvise a solution involving my dresser, a wooden spoon, and some tape. If I can make it work I'll take a picture.
