Day Fifty-Six
Well now. Today wasn't too bad. The "personalized job search assistance" bullshit thing turned out to be nowhere near as bad as I expected. I drove to the Marina, walked into a building, showed my passport, talked to someone for about two minutes, and left. Granted, I was forced to look upon a lot of sweaty-shirted people using the free CalJobs internet stations (seriously, that's not some sort of ethnic slur; they really did have sweaty shirts), but that comes with the territory. Then I stopped by 3rd Street Promenade for a little while and went home. And it wasn't even noon yet! So I watched part of a Simpsons episode that had been auto-Tivoed, then walked down to Coffee Bean to do some writing. On the way back from Coffee Bean I picked up the Kill Bill Vol. 2 DVD, which came with a cool cardboard display case thingy in which to put both Kill Bill DVDs. Got home, watched some TV, took a nap, walked up to Westside Pavilion to browse playwriting books at Barnes & Noble, and walked back, with the intention of doing some more writing and then watching both volumes of Kill Bill back to back. I did get a good amount more writing done, but after watching Vol. 1 I felt like waiting a day before starting Vol. 2. So I watched Amazing Race and an episode of Family Guy and now here I am.
