Day Forty-Seven

Well, I gave the car-scrape-girl her check. Did I mention it was $725? Gosh, it's fun to part with a bunch of money when you have no job. At least she gave me the repair invoice without my even having to ask. I was afraid that she'd bristle if I asked for it, and I'd have to make up some line about my lawyer wanting to see it (which I figured, in turn, would make her think twice before screwing me on the amount). But none of that came up, because it all went fine. Except for the part where I threw away $725. It's hard for that to go fine.

Saw The Manchurian Candidate with the parents today; it's somewhat less quirky and interesting than the original, but still very good. It's also good that my parents got 3 solid days of good weather, which rarely happens when they visit.

Somehow, even though I ate about 57 meals' worth of food at Buca di Beppo tonight, I only feel like I ate one fairly large meal. I wonder what I'm going to feel like tomorrow.
