Day Forty-Eight
Glory of glories, I get to wake up at 7:00 sharp tomorrow (at least 2 hours earlier than usual) so I can go to a "career transition seminar" paid for by Universal. I don't technically have to go, but seeing as how it's probably the type of seminar that normally costs several hundred dollars, I may as well utilize this one last chance to spend some of the company's money. Apparently they help you set up your resume and give you interview tips and stuff like that. It's Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30-4:30. I really can't wait. And then, next week I get to do yet another career assistance session thingy sponsored by the State of California, this one actually mandatory, so I don't lose my unemployment.
Today I finally took a step in the direction of getting an agent. I emailed a former USA coworker of mine (who now lives in NYC), the one I'd always been told had the best agency connections, to see if she can help me. It's been a few months since I saw her, so I'm just crossing my fingers that I don't get an email back saying "Who the hell are you?" But we did work together for over a year, so I think the chances of that are slim. But you never know.
OK, I guess I'd better go to bed. Before midnight? Yeesh.
